Use your Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge to pay for purchases [Here's how]

Today's smartphones are quipped with various powerful features that would  allow users to get nothing but the best mobile phone experience for the price they pay. In fact, high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge can now be used to pay for purchases via mobile payment system. For those who are still new to the Android interface and need further assistance on how to use this feature, here's how to purchase goods with your Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.

What makes mobile transactions like this possible is the so-called NFC (Near-Field Communication) and Payment feature embedded into the phone. With this feature, you can send information through NFC including payment via mobile payment services.

Note: NFC and payment feature can only be used at businesses that supports mobile payment services.

In order to use this function on your S7 or S7 Edge handset, you need to access the NFC and Payment, enable it (if necessary), and then configure the settings according to your preferences.

Here's how to get started:

A. Configure NFC and Payment feature on your phone

1. Tap Apps from the Home screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Locate and tap NFC and Payment.
Note: To configure settings or options, simply tap on them.

B. Enable NFC and Android Beam feature on your phone

1. Tap Apps from the Home screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap NFC and payment.
4. To enable NFC, toggle the ON/OFF switch. It needs to be set to ON.
5. To enable Android Beam, tap Android Beam and then toggle the ON/OFF switch to set it to ON.

After enabling the aforesaid features, you may now start using your phone to tap and pay. In this case, you have to install a payment app like Samsung Pay on your phone. Yes, a payment app must be set up on your phone first for you to use it with Tap and Pay. Once you got that app installed, you're all set to use your phone to purchase items. To do so, simply tap it to an item at the point-of-purchase.

Here's how it works:

1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap NFC and payment.
4. Scroll to and tap on Tap and Pay option.
You will then see tap and pay payment apps you've installed.

Important note: Available options may vary depending on the payment app you have installed and set up on your device.
